Looked very open today, possibly staff training though

However 12 o'cock seems an interesting concept, new design of gnomon for sundials?

This afternoon it was clear that they were snagging so lunchtime must have been a dry run

The b of the bong...

Was one of my more cultured moments.

I am entirely unsurprised it passed without comment.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Opening tomorrow.

Was in there today taking photographs for a client. Looks really well fitted out and much better than previous incarnations.

Enjoying a drop of red.
I've heard good things about it already
That's hardly surprising given it's part of a quality pub group and they have an excellent general manager.

The proof of the pudding though, as always is in the eating. For me that will be Saturday night.

I'm looking forwards to a visit for our next night out, we are only 5 minutes walk away . Heard it's a good pub group :)

According to website

"We also serve four cask ales, several draught lagers, a selection of bottled beers and a number of classic spirits, cocktails and non alcoholic drinks."

But what has happened with the Play Barn?

Don't think my 16,21 & 24 yr old's will be queuing up, but just wondered as it appears to be still there! :?:

I think it is the owners intention to completely revamp the barn for use for events such as wedding receptions etc.
This is a plan for the future once the restaurant is established.

We went for a meal there tonight.

We're familiar with the Paragon Group and therefore had high expectations of our dining experience.

I have to say that everything exceeded those expectations, from the initial welcome, the friendliness, the professionalism, the service and the food.

The internal decor is nothing short of stunning. They have done an absolutely fabulous job.

I absolutely thoroughly recommend it.

We went here last night and had a very pleasant evening. The food was excellent and the service top-notch. As regular patrons of The Wheatsheaf and The Orange Tree I can say that this place is right up there.

Anyone who went there under the last two or three regimes will be amazed at the transformation of the decor and ambiance.

I also snuck in here on Thursday afternoon for a quick pint and sandwich and had the same great experience.

I rather suspect this is going to become our new go-to place of an evening and an ideal place to use when 'working from home'.

Was in there tonight for an excellent meal with great service, very impressed and can see us becoming regulars. We did ask about the barn as we are looking for a function room in July but apparently they have no plans to convert it in the near future.
