So, anyone else been?

I grabbed a couple of starters on my way home the other night...Tandoori King Prawns and some samosas. They were both lovely. Will hopefully have a full meal sometime in the next couple of weeks so will report back then.

Each to their own!!! My husband and I went for a meal on Friday night and were so impressed we returned for a second helping on Saturday night. The food is excellent and the service friendly with nothing too much trouble.
We sampled different meals each night and everything was superb! The scallops are to die for!!!
We have been to all Indian restaurants in Stafford and can honestly say this up there at the top for taste, value and service.
Keep it up Simply Bilash :)

I was thinking that myself.
What i'd like - and yes I am going moan again here. Stop parking that silver Galaxy on the double yellows up Castle Street. You park too close to the car in front and make it difficult to manouvre. Shove it on Sainsburys by your BMW.

Well my partner and two of her friends enjoyed their jalfrezi last night. The only criticism was it was a bit slow but they realised how busy it was. They said they would be returning. .. my taste buds were treated to a chicken madras take out .. spot on! I always gauge a new venue by the madras to start with. .. It allows me to gauge how hot the other dishes are going to be by strength. Looking forward to trying a sit in.

Well Saturday night was curry night for us and after spending an hour (seriously) trying to get through to Narvana and getting what appeared to be constantly engaged on one line and answered but immediately hung up on multiple times on the other line, I tried Nishads who were 1h30m for delivery so thought i'd give Simply Bilash a go.

Called up and was told 45 mins for delivery or collection so placed the order - an hour and 15 minutes later and no curry so called up to be told "he's already left, sorry for the delay"... another 15 minutes later (considering I live 5 mins drive from them) and he finally turned up. At this point I wasn't very happy but not much we could do....

Fortunately the food was on the whole very good. The couple who we were with both said their Tikka Masala and Bhunas were nice, my Bilash Special was really nice and highly recommended, the one black mark (pun intended) was my wife's Paneer tikka which was burnt black on the outside but fortunately when removed the underneath was fine.

All in all, I think i'll be back to try Simply Bilash again and hopefully improvements can be made in delivery speed (or at least honesty when stating times) which seems to be a bit of a recurring theme here and the point on the burnt food.

After a couple of disasters at various restaurants (including Mela lounge which I'll never step foot in again!) over the last couple of months where there has been a party of 10 or more l was not looking forward to 16 of us trying simply bilash. Walked in and was met by an old friend of Mine from Rugeley. I knew the night was going to be good.

Out of 16 starters and mains not One complaint. Absolutely fab. They even accommodated me with an old favorite. ... chicken ceylon... lush. Everyone was passing around their choices for each to try something different. ..

great guys well done !!

We decided to give Simply Bilash a try last night and we were extremely impressed. There were six of us and we were given a lovely private table on our own which we really liked. Our meals arrived quickly and everyone agreed they were delicious. the peshwari nan was the best we have ever had - peshwari can sometimes be a bit dry and crumbly but this was lovely and soft and tasty. The staff were really efficient and attentive and we were asked several times if everything was ok. A lovely touch at the end with a rose for us two ladies, after eight mints, brandies for the men and baileys for the ladies. Thoroughly enjoyable time had by all and we can't wait to go back just the two of us to sample some of the more unusual dishes on the menu. Well done Simply Bilash. :bravo:

Restaurant was good, innovative? would say no, menu suspiciously similar to Qarma restaurant in Leek, even the design and descriptions.
