Had a lovely meal here on Friday for my birthday. There were 13 of us and we were all very happy. The food was delicious (even the Chocolate Caramel Korma Chicken, which we all shared out of intrigue!) and everyone's food came out at the same time.

Would definitely recommend Simply Bilash and will be returning soon.

It's good to hear some good feedback coming in for Simply Bilash. Always nice to hear of somewhere new opening in Stafford and doing well! Especially when they take the time to sign-up to Stafford Forum and get stuck in with customers, as they have done here. :)

Sham beat me to it. I was just about to post the info about the summer banquets, spotted on FB. I was debating whether to put it in this thread or the one on eating challenges (11.5 hours?) ;)

There has bin some mistakes in the Express&star.our add has gone in today page 19.but some of the information has been misprinted etc.ir says we out banquet starts from 12noon till 1pm but that is WRONG! Our banquet starts from 12noon till 11:30pm every Sunday.another error is that every diner will receive a complimentary drink for the first 4weeks.in the paper it says the drink offer will expire on the 11th May but that is WRONG! It really expires in the 18th of May. Sorry for any inconvenience. I look forward to seeing everyone soon :)

Apologies if I'm missing something (long day, on a train home from wales) but how do courses and taster menus work? I thought you got to taste lots of different ones, why choose a main?

I'm not on a train but I'm confused, too. I thought it was a 'try and taste' rather than a 'pick and choose' with all the dishes listed being brought to the table? How does that work with a choose three/five courses?

I was going to say the same - it sounded like a really good way to try some of the dishes on the menu but I don't understand - if you choose one main how that would work?

Glad its not just me that is confused..... I liked the sound of a thali menu to try a bit of whatever is brought out, but I can't see how that fits with 3 or 5 courses and you choose what you have....

just want to echo andreas's post - we had a right ol' knees up.. the place itself was really nice - small and private without being pokey, so had a nice cosy feel.. the staff were cheery and attentive, and were happy to offer recommendations and chat about the food..

i had veg samosas to start which were lovely, and chicken tikka jalfrezi for main which was just as nice.. would defo go again..

i'm intrigued by this banquet business, too.. i hope it is a "tasting" style arrangement, where you can try a little bit of loads of different dishes.. that sounds a right touch

Sorry for the confusion everyone, basically what I was ment to say,our banquet offers any dish off the menu what so ever, during the week we have our ala carte menu as normal, but for the summer banquet we offer the same menu but a set price.so in the week if u came in an had a starter which costs &4.50 main course &8.95 any rice&2.00 any nan&2.10 and a drink £3.50 it would cost you around £22.00per head, and on a Sunday it will only cost you £9.95 (3course) or £11.95 (5course).an if a few of you came in you could try all of our specialities between you. :)
