For those of us that didn't pay attention in geography class, here is a very inaccurate overlay of a map of the UK, I say inaccurate because everyone seems to use a slightly different shape of the UK so they never overlay properly.

Me too, I'm still waiting for the barbecue summer they promised us a few years ago.
If it does snow I hope some of the buggers that were driving around very "carefully" & allowing for the conditions this morning will stay off the roads until conditions improve to the point were they feel confident to drive at the speed limit.

Ever since we went out a bought a superduper all purpose top of the range snow shovel a few years back, we've not actually had any snow worth shovelling.
I now can't remember where I've put it, which means of course, that we will soon get snow that needs shovelling.

Also worth keeping to hand in the house is a means of brushing the snow off from above the car door, so that it doesn't fall on the seat when the door is opened - in the old days, cars had gutters that largely prevented this unfortunate event, most cars now are almost designed to cause it..

It was someone driving at the speed limit ,on a very snowy and slippery road many years ago in 1981 , that smacked into my stationary car at a junction. Caused £900 of damage to my car ( and found out afterwards through my insurance company that the insurance details he gave me at the time were false and he was uninsured. My insurance paid out for my car, but I lost my no claims with it being an uninsured driver ! ) He hadn't allowed for putting his brakes on at 30mph and the car carrying on at 30mph in a skid! Bloke driving carefully behind him managed to stop in time, followed by another person belting down the road and piling into the back of him.
I'd much rather meet someone driving 'carefully ' and driving according to the conditions on the road,

I bought some cheap clip on spikes for boots a few years ago - not seen any snow since so I threw them away a few weeks ago...Ever since we went out a bought a superduper all purpose top of the range snow shovel a few years back, we've not actually had any snow worth shovelling.

I've moved my snow shovels out of the shed and into the garage today .Got the folding one ready to put in the car boot as well. Hoping not to need them..

I bought some contraptions to clip onto my shoes/ trainers when Brantano were having a sales push on them. "We have heavy snow forecast next week"...it didn't materialise and I was cussing for being so gullible and being talked into buying them. Never actually used them yet as apparently they only work on snow and not ice, and thought about slinging them in my de-cluttering .
