SPORTING EVENT TO PUT STAFFORD ON THE MAP

In case you didn't know, Stafford in Cincinnati, USA host Nascar racing. Does anybody have any ideas what event could put the borough on the sporting map? Newcastle has the Great North Run, apparently a south London town called Wimbledon hosts an annual bat and ball tournament and when a small Derbyshire town called Donnington isn't full of crusty rockers they stage the motorcycle world championship.
Is there a way we could adopt an obscure sport and then host the world championship for it?

An event for Stafford.Mmmm . .it would have to involve those God Damn mini motorbikes or old women terrorising people on pavements in those motorised buggy things, that are clearly speeding in a pedestrainised area.

indeed! As much as support the rangers, i think the heritage and tradition of one of worlds greatest, biggest and oldest football clubs, Newcastle United, slighty outweighs the heritage of the rangers.
