Ok, the Beer Festival needs people to run it, short of volunteers at the moment. The Beer Festival Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/StaffordBeerFestival/ ) says -

"Do you fancy learning new skills while having fun? We still need volunteers to help us, if you can spare a few hours either helping to set up our festival or serving behind the bars it would be appreciated. No experience needed, lots of fun, meet new people and it looks great on your C.V!!
Go to our website http://www.staffordbeerfestival.co.uk/ and click on the volunteer form. Message us for any more info".

One volunteer has posted "We really do need your help! As it stands we don't have enough volunteers to run your festival. if you can only spare an hour it would go a long way. I started volunteering 6 years ago, offered to work one shift and loved it so keep going back. I already had experience in bar/pub work but have learned a lot of new skills not to mention met a lot of great people along the way. You don't need any previous experience, we'll show you the ropes! Please grab a friend and volunteer together. Drop me a message if you'd like to find out a bit more. Volunteer perks, a social life and it looks great on your C.V. Come on, give it a go!! "

It is fun, so yes, give it a go.

Lovely atmosphere there this afternoon for the 'family session' - enjoyed many fine beers and ciders and my friends and I all enjoyed the (I'm told slightly controversial) festival beer chalices. Excellent job all round.
