Has anyone heard of or listen to Stafford FM?
It is such a great local radio station for all things local,weather,travel,news and a great mix of music.

Don't feed the troll
It is based in Stafford. It is not a proper station, basically hospital radio without a hospital, only amateurs, as is very obvious if you listen to it.

Whoa, slow down there. Stafford FM is based in our Stafford?

I don't think stuart haycock and ray crowther are amateurs when it comes to radio, they were instrumental setting this up a couple of years ago and spent hours without pay doing shows. Maxine mallen has done a fine good after stafford fm was her first gig.

Signal radio it may not be but is a very good community station, which for the size of Stafford is what one should expect.

But then would expect anything less than Hopes Dad being a tit about it.

I thought he was going to change the town for the better..........hold on he isn`t jez lefroy is he.

I listen quite often. You sort of get used to the presenters after a bit and the music is at least different- you don't hear the same songs on a loop. I even quite enjoyed the bloke on a Saturday morning but I think he's on a different time slot now. Assuming they don't get paid I must say I have to admire them. They must enjoy what they do but, as a hobby, it must be hard work. I certainly couldn't be arsed to prepare and then present for so long, never knowing if anyone is actually listening. A nice Apprenticeship for those hoping for a career in radio, even though the chances of that are extremely slim to say the least.

Started listening to it for the road updates and congestion around Stafford, a great source of info. Now I more or less listen to It most of the time even online when out of town, they do a great job.

Yes they do a brilliant job they are all volunteers I think the presenters are great and it is brilliant to have a radio station for the county town of stafford.
