Remember when they used to do happy hour Mondays - Wednesdays? £1.40 for a treble of any spirits. Then they put it up to £1.50, which was a bit steep.
yeah lol - there'd be the same group of us every single week, crowded round a table with a line of about 5 pints of piss-weak carlsberg each cos it was a pound a pint before 11:00 or something.. in retrospect, i'd much rather pay double that for something vaguley resembling beer and that actually had an alcoholic content, but i guess you don't think of that when you're a young 'un lol..

Yeah man...bring back the rickety old, piss stained county buses! Can't beat a bit of public transport rivalry :)

the county buses did drive (eh?) the prices down but like you say they were piss stained and i alwys found they had an inferior quality driver to the original minibuses. Also in the the long run i think it was detrimental to to the bus service as a whole. I remember when you could jump on a bus from baswich to town every eleven minutes! yes thats ELEVEN minutes. Bet thats not the case now

think they were a local phenomenom clart. i remember a big fuss when they came out (late eighties?). me and my bro got a dayrider and went to wierd and wonderful places we never knew existed. places such as holmcroft and highfields! the joy of it.

you don't have to be a member.. i put a link back to this place on there ages ago ;) check the very bottom, "External Links" section:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stafford

thing is, one of the moderators actually removed the link last week, with the comment "Wikipedia isn't a directory service".. obviously, i re-instated it immediately lol.. but please don't go adding things willy nilly! shameless self promotion is frowned upon over there (which is fair enough) and we don't want to piss them off or they'll permanently remove any links to us!
