I’m not really a football fan or a gambler but - assuming it’s not a treasonable offence - is anyone betting on Columbia to qualify? If Columbia lost obviously you’d lose your stake but hey, England go through. Conversely, if Columbia win then at least you come away with some blood money.

I have noticed quite a few exhortations lately to "Come on England", which seems to me that it might constitute ungentlemanly conduct.

Perhaps commas are supplied down a hosepipe these days?
