Stafford Gateway Masterplan.

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
I love the single issue "cyclists are great" comments. Ban them all and there would be less accidents ! (on the other hand, register them all and fine them every time they ignore traffic lights, obstruct other users or blind them with their flashing lights)
Most cyclists are fine. There's a minority who behave like dicks and some decent enforcement wouldn't come amiss.

But then you can say exactly the same thing about pedestrians and motorised road users.

As a purveyor of all methods of getting about, have to say proactive is spot on. It isn't the mode of transport, no single method has monopoly on stupid law breaking, am sure I regularly transgress using all three, only real difference is the potential I have to damage others if I actually. hit them!

I looked at hte photo of the artists impression of this ridiculous gateway plan on the front of the Newsletter today, and if my interpretation is correct, Castletown has been replaced with a lovely green area with the odd building and lots of trees. Just shows what a load of shite this all really is, even the artists impression bears no resemblance to anything valid or relevant

Edit:

Here it is. And taking the sorting office as a guide, this really is like some sort of April Fool Day prank

I can't quite see the Platform 2 Micro Bar

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
I can't even figure out on which land this is supposed to be built on but I would be amazed if it ever was even started.

@Wormella is gunning for a job at the council for the position of "making all their daft plans actually understandable" I see. That Google Map alone is far more useful than anything the council have put out.

Can I be in the minority here and say I quite like the Gateway plans? But I'm a millennial young'un so I like the modernisation.

Doesn't look like the Western Bypass has been completed either :)

Aww, thank you - I just like maps, and data, and things to make sense

I'm also broadly in favour of the plans - especially since what is there at the moment is wasteland

(I'm also playing around with a 2nd version of the Foodie guide to Stafford - which is open collaboration if anyone wants to add somewhere I've missed)
