Year ago I used to work in the Co-op in the main street. The Flamingo restaurant on the first floor was reputed to be haunted by a lady fugure, The building used to be the theatre in Crabbery St and there was a tale that an actress fell off the stange and was killed and that she haunts there now. Many of the staff in the Flamingo in the 80's saw this lady frequently with no explanation.

Also a friend of mine at about this time worked in the Swan and she was very deffinate about there being a ghost upstairs in the old part of the building ajoining the High House.

Hi i'm new to the forum guys. And i just noticed this thread im not not one of these people that normally believes in all the paranormal stuff. But this happened to me about a year ago now i was watching tv last summer i was playing with my son on fifa for the playstation 3 (i know its sad lol) when all of a sudden the tv screen goes blank and then starts making really strange noises most people would probably just unplug the tv but i decided to have a listen the sound was faint so turned it up a little but when i turned it up the numbers was only going up 1 number each second. Then i could hear people talking as if they were talking under water. i could hear things like church bells and horse and carts going past. it was really weird. I recorded it all on my iPhone using the voice recorder app everyone ive shown it to has found it really weird. I keep meaning to put it up on YouTube but I haven't got round to it yet.

thanks for reading guys

You might want to get your PC (or whatever) checked out as the 'full stop' and 'comma' keys don't appear to be working.

I am being harassed by a ghost right now, i could be wrong, but i'm fairly sure this ectoplasm is emanating from my carpet.

Does anybody know where i could cleanse my carpet of ectoplasm - if i was in the area of, say, cannock, Stafford or Walsall?

Does anybody know why cannock deserves but a little 'c' , whereas Stafford and Walsall have an 'S' and 'W' respectively?

If history has taught us anything, it has surely taught us that cannock is 'Conservative' with a capital 'N'.

Presumably Mr. Burley can't get a refund for his Hire Purchase on the grounds of taste?

Have i skirted the issue enough to avoid Godwin's Law? Have i Stopped Making Sense ?

Does anyone give a fa fa fa fa fa, fa fa fa fa f...? (uck)

:mystery:

Hubby's works on Astonfields is built on the site of an old salt mine. Years ago when the burglar alarms went off late at night, the police didn't find anyone in there but the police dogs didn't want to go down one of the corridors.

When I picked him up one day and took the dog in as well , I took her with me when I popped to the loo . The dog dug her heels in halfway along one of the corridors and I had to drag her along. Found out afterwards that that was the same place the police dogs got spooked

Ghosts have been in my house and robbed my cutlery before, really was annoying as they never brought it back.

pretty freaky that staffordjas they say that pets can see or sense. paranormal stuff not that I'm a great believer though.
A miner was supposed to have been killed there years ago.

The works has a small gym now in that part of the works which I am welcome to use but never have because of that instance. When I have gone in to meet hubby ,if he's stopped late for a workout, I don't feel comfortable. Could just be phsycological but........ :strange:

If I'd have known about the policedogs reactions before,I'd have thought I might have been sending vibes down the lead with being scared, but only found out about it after I told hubby how our dog had reacted.

Since our dog has since died I have quite often been convinced that I have seen her coming down the stairs and hear a plucking noise like she used to make when getting her claws stuck in the carpet. A work colleage visited me at home whilst I was off sick after I'd had an operation - I heard the plucking noise but said nothing. She looked behind the chair and exclaimed "Oooh, youv'e got another dog!" She was convinced she had seen a dog or cat run behind the chair (and that was our dogs favourite place to lie).

We are going for a weekend away soon and I have googled 'hotel ........ haunted' and it has come up that it has a couple of ghosts....Oooooeerrrr :/

i used to live in the coach and horses mill bank everyone always said it was haunted by the old landlord but i never saw him - but one night when i was dozing on the sofa in the upstairs living room - i was knackered after a long night i had not had loads to drink and just felt so tired. I was woken up by a child walking towards me i thought that it was my daugheter wanting me to give her a cuddle but when i stretched by arm out it was ragamuffin victorian child - with ghostly features and she looked so sad i froze and closed my eyes until i thought she was gone I never moved all night i was freezing and to scared to move.

Out of interest, did anyone on here read the stories in the town's papers not long ago about alleged sightings of 'big cat/panther/werewolf' creature seen firstly on the chase and then in parts of the town? If so, does anyone have any stories about that? I'm usually quite rationally minded but I do like a good ghost/creature story and me and my friends were quite actively interested in these sightings, if anyone has any information for me that would be great
