I have been quite scared reading this thread! The last few weeks there have been some strange things happening in my house, the heating has been coming on by itself even tho the thermostat is on zero and the switch is set to off! I have had to switch my heating and water off and just use the emersion until its fixed. That alone wasn't scary but also our kettle has been boiling itself every night around 10 o clock! We will hear a noise as it switches on then when we go into the kitchen it's on and boiling! After reading this thread I am worried we have a ghost so im going to buy a new kettle to see if it continues. Please don't offer any explanation unless it's scientific or I won't be able to sleep!!
Hello Vicky, Most 'ghostly happenings' have a scientific explanation. I'm pretty certain you will find it's an electrical fault that's causing your problem. Never ever worry about 'ghost'. A 'ghost' cannot hurt you in anyway whatsoever. How can it? If you think about it in a logical way it isn't there. Our fear is caused more by our imaginations than anything else. As this is Wilford House Care Home, a previous doctors house I believe then there have been many folk pass over to the other side in here over the years! It is a warren of corridors but have never felt threatened or scared in there. However in the middle of the night..........
