Sounds like a nice leisurely walk through town it is, in and out of shops in and out of pubs, ho ho ho

The shops on Riverside stay open till 8pm weekdays anyway. Some other shops may use the timetable linked to above.
Thanks Proac, jeez, you must be going all soft in the run up to Christmas, i thought we didn't quite get on?

Unless my eyes are failing me, i can't make out the times on this page, anyone else?
Though the Riverside development times are a help thanks, just planning my shopping trips to coincide with a visit to the Shrewsbury Arms!

So basically there is no special late night shopping for Christmas in Stafford then - just the same shops that open until 8pm every night anyway. Why am I not surprised.

That's unless you count a few nights in the guildhall Centre open for a couple of extra hours. The three or four shops in there that are still just about hanging in will draw shoppers in from far and wide, won't they. Poundland, cheap tat card shop, cheap tat earring shop (if it's still there), the obligatory mobile phone shop and the world's most expensive shoe shop. Oh, I forgot the bloke trying to flog sky tv contracts.

Yet again, Stafford fails to deliver.

Well there is Kismet rose in there, which has now been trading in the Guildhall for over 2 years, and is far from cheap
tat. It also happens to be doing really well, so I don't know about ' just hanging in there'

They have brands such as Emma Bridgewater, Sophie Allport, Disaster designs and many more.
There are lots of locally produced items, as well as big brands that places like John Lewis sell.

They are only there at all because John Lewis will never be interested in Stafford. If John Lewis ever did open a store in Stafford, (haha!!) kismet rose would be gone within weeks. Another example of Stafford being grateful for what it can get, and having low expectations.

So the nights the shops are open until 8pm in the run up too Christmas are not classed as late night shopping for Christmas???

#factstobejudged
Of course not. They are open anyway, these are not special 'Christmas' events.

That is bollocks and grossly unfair to an independent trader running a brilliant shop. The ONLY place selling exactly the bag I was after for the beach this summer, including online retailers. Brilliant gift ideas, would fit squarely in with the "upmarket" units at Trentham Gardens or any posh high street you fantasise about.
