Whoever takes it over, they need to drastically increase the temperature in the swimming changing rooms - they are freezing!!

And wipe over the floor during each session. It would take 10 minutes and stop it being so minging

Agreed. We use Cannock as it warmer and you get longer than an hour. The website says A one hour wrist band system may be implemented during busy periods. Last time we went we were booted out of the small pool after 1 hour. There were about 5 or 6 of us in the pool. Maybe 10 in the large pool. Wouldn't really call it a busy period!

Whoever is taking responsibility for the place I hope they change the opening hours at weekends. Shutting at 6:30 on a Saturday is hardly reflective of how people live their lives and isn't exactly competing with the rest of the gyms in Stafford

It might be reflective of how the people who work there live their lives, inasmuch as they probably don't want to work beyond 6:30 on a Saturday either.

Does anyone still get 'time-and-a-half'?

I know i don't, but then i never did.

My first thoughts were you could tell it was a council facility... it's a leisure facility that's open office hours.

Taking a whistle-stop tour around their other 'in partnership with...' formerly council-run facilities - https://www.freedom-leisure.co.uk/centres/ - would suggest that your hopes will be dashed dot dot dot

It was given to Freedom.
Good?

Bad?

Ugly?
So, i have unconfirmed reports that Derrick Gask has resigned his position as Artistic Director of the Gatehouse Theatre.

Reports from pretty reliable sources so i'm going to go right ahead and assume it's true.

Anyone who knows Mr. Gask - and i'm sure there will be many here who do - or anyone who has tangentially encountered him on any kind of 'professional' basis - and i'm sure that will encompass many more - will know that this will have been a decision not made lightly.

I think we can all assume, therefore, that 'Bad' and 'Ugly' can be comfortably 'ticked off'.

We await the 'Good'...
