I'm not sure if it's already mentioned on this thread but Julian was a postman on Lichfield road main works site and that's how I knew him. Not seen him for ages though. Even though he was doing you a service he'd often back out of the office thanking you while saying bye!

Indeed.
That will be Julian ( the 'disciple' ) and his brother, I'm sure. I'm not sure of the brother's name. They can be seen in the Market now and then. Julian was an internal postman at GEC and someone once described him as 'the most hated man in GEC' - but only because he was so pleasant to everybody, when people didn't want pleasantness foisted upon them.
I see them a few times a year - still the same.

It is possible just to never see some people - I believe that I have no experience of this Steve Bhattia of whom you speak, for instance.

I feel slightly left out..

Don't. Having a psychotic cyclist career towards your car from the wrong side of the road, having him suddenly swerve infront of you whilst overtaking him, or, having him cycling alongside you whilst banging on your window & shouting obsenitys is NOT fun....

Can I swap you S.B for Julian & Jesus.......I've never seen them either...

I have had the pleasure, if that's what you can call it, of serving him his dinner a few times over the years. And, unfortunately, he can pick me out of a crowd at 100yrds and always comes and speaks to me. Whether it's pleasant or not, he will always speak.
I may have seen Julian & Jesus, wouldn't know.

2 more to add, Tim Wood, the unbelievably skinny lad that always singing, with coke bottle, and is queer, normally on his own, seen him once with boyfriend

very weird guy, sets fire to bins, like a child really, fairish balding hair, hangs around mainly waiting for no6 bus, used to nickname him empty case man, as he can come into 0xfam 6 times a day, and buys 'cds' but just wants the case, not the CD

Do we know whether he is 'queer' or not?

Steve Bhatia today, 8.20 this morning, a character, cannot believe he is 42, he acts like a boy! was swearing/shouting at vans/cars passing the Post house, then went in direction of ASDA swearing saying come on, what an absolute douche!

always seen him as well on a cycle, never walking or in car/bus

I think the irish man has sadly passed away i think his ame was jonjo or something like that. Used to frequent witherspoons with a few other well known stafford folk.

I have seen them several times since my previous post. Moving, ethereally, purposefully, towards the dirty carrots.

I still haven't found an excuse to speak to them but I am always excited to spot them and pleased that they are there.

They will remain Jesus & Julian. I'm having no truck with this 'Joseph' idea of yours. He has been Jesus since first appearing to me 30 years ago by the duck pond in Victoria Park.

See what a Catholic education has done to me? No idea of trigonometry and a nagging feeling that apparitions can appear unto thee just as long as you don't run in the corridors or eat in the street.

Has Julian got long hair? heard his name is Julian, they look oldish, other guy has short black balding hair (but looks nothing like Jesus), see them on lichfield road, and around town

Julian has the shorter hair - Joseph has longer hair and quite a significant beard. I saw them last week in the Market ( by Dave's stall, Joe is into stamp collecting ) and had a little chat. Then I saw them just after I had passed that big smash in Bridgeford a few days ago - they were walking out of town as I was driving inwards. They live up the Doxey Road somewhere - and sometimes go home the 'pretty way'.

Julian must be mid-50s, Joe's a bit older, perhaps.

I don't think I've ever seen Jesus & Julian , and don't know if I've met Steve Bhatia. Did once have a cyclist do a U turn a few inches in front of me as I was about to drive through St Leonards traffic lights...

( I always wonder what happened to the Stafford homeless man called John who was in the Acute Cardiac Ward at the same time as hubby. The nurses got his clothes laundered, got him a packed lunch , and arranged a B&B when he was discharged from hospital. I was hoping maybe that was a turning point for him . )
