I'm having an old hard drive spring clean and came across this. I'll see if I can dig any more out and post them up. In the meantime, if you've got any 'before and after' photos of Stafford, feel free to post them up.

Whenever I look at old photos of Stafford (apart from the one directly above) I am always a little dismayed at quite frankly annoyed that Cllrs could ever think that what was being proposed was better than the building, which was often full of character. The first picture on this post looks lovely compared to that horrible police station.

This picture is of the bottom end of Wolverhampton Rd (I think). The YMCA stands where McCartthy and Stone and the Road is now and the buildings in the background are where Grocott and Vlok dentists are.

The building in the background is the Oasis dentists and Grate Fireplaces - Grocott and Vlok is further round the corner, past the Stafford Dental Practice, the Garden Street junction and Myhill's Accountants.

Unless G&V run all of them...?

Folks. Can we keep this a 'before and after' picture thread, please. There are loads of other threads with pictures of old Stafford but I created this one specifically so we could see the difference between 'then and now.' Cheers.
