Tuesday was a great evening. The world is always a better place when we beat stic / Hednesford.
Another great Tuesday at Marston Road! 3.1 win , early days, but 9th in early League, 7 played! !
Away to Kings Lynn
impossible return train journies of our age
Stafford - New Street - Ely - Kings Lynn. Not Impossible, just takes a couple of weeks.
The clue was in the word
Buses from Peterborough to Melton Mowbray on a Saturday night
Has the makings of an excellent black comedy worthy of a nomination in the short film category
I've certainly done the Ely - Birmingham - Stafford & return part of the journey on many occasions but have to admit that the area between Ely & Lynn is strange.
A nearer away trip to the lovely Buxton tomorrow.
Eat at No.5
Glad it was a short trip!
Oh well on wards and upwards, I am at work for the FA cup next week, and am glad, as I have bad feelings about the outcome! Hope I am wrong!
No I really hope I am wrong, and today's 4.1 defeat is the wake up call we needed!
On a pitch made from remoulds?
Having seen the goals... it does seem there's a bit lacking in the middle of defence
But rather unlucky not to have scored a couple in the first half themselves
Toe poke daisy cutters and it could ping in from anywhere

Prior to today's match, was forced to endure watching 4 games home and away since my annual holiday! 6 goals conceded without any borough reply! Today was a wonderful recompense! We had lost our player of the season from last year, due to injury last week, and have had mishaps a plenty, but today we scored, and kept a clean sheet! On wards, and in fact, "Up the Boro"
And relax! Off, by train, to Kidderminster on Saturday 21st, for 2nd qualifying round of the the FA Cup. Number 2 son and I expect to be amongst a healthy Boro' following. Going by rail will hopefully be quicker, and I can have a pint or two . If you have nothing else to do, you are welcome to join the exodus; 13.09 from 'Ford!,
I will be on the train.
I'm in France but I believe Weavers bar is handy for the ground
