Stafford rangers tickets?

OK, I'm going to sound pretty thick for a bloke here now, but please bear in mind that I'm about as sporty as a cucumber!

I'm considering taking the two young lads to watch Rangers play a home game as a way of spending some quality time doing something different that I think they would both enjoy.

I've looked on their website at ticket prices, and can see that there's a home game on Saturday 18th. However, how do I find out what time the game is at? How much earlier do you need to be there? And do you just pay cash at the gates or do you need to pre-purchase tickets etc.?

All info gratefully received!

Pay at the turnstiles - if the lads are under 16 they get in free and it'll be £10 for you. You can pay an extra £2 to sit in the stand (always sounds strange saying that), likewise no charge for the lads in the stand.

Time of the match will be on the website when it is the 'next match' sort of thing (though will probably be under 'fixtures'* if you take a look. Turn up a bit before the game - it's not that busy (more's the pity :( ).

Yes - 3pm ko

Thanks for that withers! Sit in the stand? What's the alternative if you don't pay the extra £2? (not that £2 bothers me I just don't know the difference) ;)

You get to stand in the s it.

Indeed, the alternative is standing. The boards round the pitch are on the high side for small people - depending on how small they are they may struggle to see over them, though there are also terraces to stand on a bit back from the pitch.

£2 it is then! :)

Thanks for your help. I'm hoping it gives them an incentive to behave all week (or they don't go) ;)

If you are going in with non-paying youngsters you need to go through the turnstiles signed 'Season Ticket Holders Only' (or something like that) - the ones where you can see a pair of legs going in, next to the van (and inconveniently behind a tree), here.

After you've been to see them once, you can threaten them with going again if they are naughty... they'll never misbehave again ;)

(from a Chester FC fan :) :) )

(this is a joke by the way, in reality I am very keen to encourage you to support your local team!!!)

No, didn't make it this time as their behaviour wasn't to be rewarded. Maybe next time :)
Unfortunately Saturdays abomonibale performance would have been an ideal way to punish abhorrent minors, if they had sat through an abject 'Boro defeat, I guanteed they would never be errant again, in cause you made them come again! And it was cold too! :snowman:

If you'd brought the lad to the last two home games (his behaviour allowing of course!), he'd had been royally entertained! 7 goals for the Black & Whites, and only 2 conceded. Reasonable attendances to and some entertainment on Saturday! :rimshot:

Only problem might have been that he might of enjoyed it so much, he'd want to repeat the experience! Mind you on the last to games record the 'Boro might grace us with wins! Only 3 homes games left now so I hope he's been good!http://www.staffordrangersfc.co.uk/html/fixtures.html
