Ok, this is a speculative , hypothetical post,

But apparently, Arcadia is in trouble and may head into administration, there's talk of the brand's being snapped up by different parties .

If that happens, surely Outfit would cease trading , making it a large empty unit to fill ?

I think that the fact the one in St Marys survived them proves it's not the town but the product
Not necessarily. I think that the situation lends itself to the problem. That end of town is getting a lot less footfall because of the number of empty shop units. If you are dependant on that flow of traffic just to entice someone through the door to purchase, it is going to have a massive detrimental effect. Apparently, since Greggs closed its shop at the top end of town, it has effected takings for the shops that remain. Whatever, you think of its fast food offer, it drew people towards that end of town. We can only hope that independents can take their place and provide a market differential with what you can buy in the usual chains.

Well Game might be closing next, I believe Sports Direct are in the process of buying the company, if successful, they plan on looking at the store portfolio , and seeing if it can become a concession in the sportsdirect stores.

So in a round about way, Sports Direct , could start becoming the new Woolworths...
