Might I suggest bookings for games? (Bring your own console)

When I was a teen nothing seemed cooler than taking over a lecture theatre or cinema and hooking a 360 up to it.

Anyone know if Oatcakes and milkshakes is still trading? Last Facebook post was 1 August and page said it should be open today but we called over just after 1pm and all the blinds were closed and definitely shut.

I've not seen it open for at least 2 weeks, the blinds were up one day about a week & a half ago, there were 2 people inside - but it wasn't open for business.

Well custom seemed to vanish overnight after the terrible rating for hygiene

Place was very popular with the students buts they disappeared quickly. You don't get second chances in the service industry and customers rightly expect standards for the money they pay.

Think it was a combination of things.

The impact the negative report had on hygiene , the fact people don't have the disposable income , students and the like are especially aware of what they're eating / spending these days too etc.

May also be that time of year when a rent review was due from the landlord , and they deemed it an unfair offer.

Noticed the other day that the bap shop near home and bargains has been cleared out too.

I'm hearing the Edinburgh Wool Shop has a big sale going on. It was in question about staying open a few months ago. Any news?

The Edinburgh Woollen Mill place at the Wolseley Bridge Garden Centre looked to be clearing out all of its stock last week but that was the day before it ceased to be Wyvales and became a British Garden Centres operation. They appear to be there still* so not sure why they were clearing everything.

*However the EWM box on the new Garden Centre web page for Wolseley Bridge does say "We have fantastic concessions such as Regatta and Bonmarche clothing here at Albrighton." which is odd, and BGC don't have anywhere at Albrighton.
