Coffee one will be open by summer anyway, so not a big deal. It's a shame, but we still have a Starbucks , n I always used Costa or cafe Nero more anyway, the only loss is the outside seating area.

The best Starbucks we had was when it was in Sainsbury's.

Other half knows one of the staff members and they said that they believe it will be refurbished completely (its a bit of a mess out the back) and will re-open as a Starbucks, but this time franchised....

Its a big deal to those that have been made redundant!

The one at the station is a franchise which is why the existing town Starbucks staff havent been able to relocate there.....

When you say station do you mean the Esso on Lamascote Road ?

Is that the Esso service station ? If so its hardly the same is it comparing that to a full starbucks store....

The Starbucks franchise should be opening 2 locations. The drive thru at the hough and the new reburbished place in town (May/June).

No no, starbucks at the train station....
Ohhhhh that one...forgot about the station.

I've been there a few times and I still have panics about getting a coffee there within a reasonable time frame even when I've got 10mins+ before my train !

The people I spoke to at the time when it changed from a restaurant said they would have went or at least tried it as a fish restaurant but would never order over priced fish and chips from there.

Myself included, I mean I was all for trying it out till it became a fish and chip shop, I mean you wouldn’t even dine in for that, so yeah, completely floored model, n the guy running it should have kept it as a restaurant.

Should have stayed as a fish restaurant, I think they expected to get the kids from the college in a lot more but they usually end up at the place next to spoons if they want chips (I assume cos its cheaper?).
Another problem with that idea is, people on a lunch break need quick service, from the outside it looks more like a restaurant, which I never assum will have quick service.
