I went in today. 25% closing down sale across the whole store, and according to the shop assistant their last day is 24th March 2018.

Asked her if they would be opening up anywhere else in Stafford. Answer was "I think so, but they haven't told us where yet though"
Just what the owners of Queens Retail Park want....get Poundstretcher out, refurb the units, divide if needs be and put new frontages up....

In theory everything in Poundstretcher is at 25% off but when I went in there a lot of the stock was being packed onto pallets and not available to purchase.

Not the first shop that was going to move from Queens into the old PC World shop, but that didn't happen.

Pound stretcher moving into the old pc world would an odd move, but weirder things have happened.

As say they as they seem to be closing stores outright across the country and I think the old pc world is a bigger unit doesn't quite add up. Something on north walls would make more sense id they moved.

They do look nice and smart - Now for something exciting that does nice food and is happy to have children eating in it to take over the ol' F&B place and I'd be a happy Queensville* resident

*Is St. Leonards technically Queensville? I can never remember

Not only had the newish sign on the site of the old Lloyds bank disappeared, but the one on the grounds of the ex Frankie and Benny's is in the ground with a rather massive debt in it caused most likely by a great big tree trunk hitting it!!

You mean a massive debt as in a big mortgage or are we talking RBS type debt? :)

Right then. Lets close the York branch of the Staffordshire bank, in a tit for tat strike.

To be honest Yorkshire bank have been closing their banks all of the country, I think roughly about 50 in the last couple of years. About half were actually in Yorkshire.

In 10 years this bank will be gone or merged with someone

When we went in last week there was a lot of stuff being shrink wrapped on pallets to be shipped off somewhere else. (Looked like mainly things like stationery, and kids toys type stuff at that time)

The staff keep saying they are moving somewhere else , "somewhere in town but not been told where" ....

I called into the Yorkshire bank a couple of months ago , the place was deserted. Only wanted to see about possibly opening an account with them, but with no member of staff (or customers) in sight walked back out again. Glad I didn't manage to open an account with them now!

Walked past accessorize this evening n all the windows had been covered up with moving signs, so I'm guessing it's closed or close to closing.
