That's pretty much how music zone went in town, took that long fitting the shop out, by the time it opened it was already heading for administration , closed a few months later , probably the shortest lived shop, well, a toss up between that, and the bhs pop up shop for a few months over Christmas, can't remember what store that exactly occupied, think it was somewhere near butler's though, anyone remember it ?

In the "good old days", before ATMs and internet banking, banks used to open 9:30 - 3:30, Monday to Friday.
And we had 3 telly channels, 1 of which finished about 11 in the morning till early evening. (might be wrong there)
Most shops closed half day Wednesday,

Three? You were lucky. I had none until I was six, then there were two - there wasn't really three until the 70s for most people.

We had just one for a while. I remember being most annoyed that the boy round the corner could watch "Huckleberry Hound" on ITV.

Difficult to pick up BBC television 2,000 miles away...

We did get the Magic Roundabout in Greek, though - it made just as much sense.
Well the original was in French. And didn't Emma Thompson's dad do the voiceover.

ETA And even in them days, the b@st@rds. :grr:
