Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

I appreciate that but we must have close on 20 barbers in the Stafford area.

I suspect they may all be the same barber in the newer ones cos they all look the same person to me, skinny jeans, coiffured beard, quiff and a green tee shirt :)

I visited my old college town in Wales a few years back and saw much the same thing. Hair places everywhere. Somehow it didn't seem viable.

I hear some of them do a roaring trade in Pork Pies although I'm given to understand their customer base appears to be declining. :heyhey::pie::chef:
Which reminds me, if you are ever in Reading this place is worth a visit:

Didn't the original plans have a coffee shop there ?

I don't know of any plans or talk for a coffee shop, the plans for SBC extending/ moving the front line reception and meeting room space into the vacated RBS ( which I think includes the empty shops units facing the river) appeared very quickly after RBS left.

There were plans for a cocktail bar in the former ladies clothes unit facing the river that never happened.

Why has someone been removing bricks from the side of the 'old library' opposite 'The Sun' - very strange...

They vanished during the renovation work. Possibly damaged bricks were removed and someone forgot the replacements?
Ah, I had not noticed before, but did today when stuck in traffic.... Almost at damp course level, but a very random selection has been taken out....

Likely to be done when they were doing the pointing... On that place, what is happening as work seems to have stopped...
