Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Also, another shop is occupied on that row opposite the co-op, it's a vape bar.

And above it, not actually sure what they're doing , but looks like windows are being fitted all the way along.

I think the windows that go all the way across are what they are taking out. The first floor windows are new window layout with the new brick work. Apartments for the upper floors I think

My sister lives in North London and when we visit for a weekend we go for Turkish food at least twice...
Does it taste like a meal you'd eat in Turkey?

The reason I ask, I went to a Greek restaurant a year or two back, and the food, while being to a Greek recipe, didn't really taste Greek. At the end of the day, it's still English lamb, English potatoes and veg, and English bread even if it's prepared to a Greek recipe. Mythos doesn't quite taste the same either.

Looks like there's gonna be 15 more studio apartments in the town centre too. Leggo Ltd seems to have acquired 76 Eastgate Street.

Includes partial demolition of the rear apparently.

I haven't been to Turkey. It is very much a Turkish community though so I like to think it's the same. I guess the ambience of Green Lanes does take away from it somewhat.

Thanks for that. Despite my reservations, I certainly look forward to sampling what the one opening in town has to offer.

It says authentic on the sign so it must be, mustn't it?

I do hope it is a true reflection of what I consider to be Turkish cuisine and not just a "kebab" bar. I've been to Istanbul briefly and several Turkish community restaurants in the UK so I'm hoping for good things here.

At least it's not yet another Indian restaurant in a town overburdened with them already.

Work seems to be going well in the old Ashiana's, and post house, so we can expect both back in action in the next few months.

Ashiana's look's like it'll be an oriental restaurant judging by some of the wall lights inside. They also seem to have took possession of the cellar bar too.
What was Ashiana will be a Turkish restaurant...

Which is the best one?

I'm in Hornsey quite a bit, my go to place to eat is The Dragon in Crouch End , when I'm not being fed Cypriot home cooking

Another unit under offer in mill street, very much on the up.

The post house, or the next incarnation has had Christmas trees put up outside, whatever it will be seems close to opening
Indeed, they were painting the gates the other day too.
Hope it's similar to the first version of the post house , with a bit of a toned down restaurant experience.

They should turn the SGI into a space rocket

They should turn the windmill into a military drone

They should turn otters into milk churns
