Coffee 1 looks like it's coming along nicely. Think it's supposed to open next week. Can't wait to try their breakfast burritos, selection of sandwiches and salads looks good too :)

Just been for a haircut at Sams near the prison and he tells me a cafe is opening up opposite him next week, he didn't elaborate more.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Plenty of people in town at the mo but religious weirdos where Starbucks used to be and religious weirdos and chuggers in Market Square making a nuisance of themselves.

Chap sculpting a dog out of sand outside HSBC was good though.

Christ I hate the preachers. We had one on Stafford Campus once outside the Beacon building.

Everyone just sorta thought "You know this is a STEM campus right?"

I didn't see him but we used to have a sand sculpture bloke a year or more ago, was here every week, not sure if it's the same one but I used to see him around 8am on the way to work when he was setting up. His 'sand sculpture' was actually almost complete on some sort of base. He used to just put that on the ground, put a pile of sand next to it and pretend to sculpt. I've since seen similar sand dog sculptors in other towns making the identical dog so it's a bit of a con really. Course todays blokey might really be a sculptor!

I'd always assumed they used something like a rabbit blancmange mould. (Now there's something from my childhood - blancmange. Do people still eat the stuff?)
