Just because it is sold it does not mean it will be will be occupied.

Hopefully it will be taken up, but that depends on rent still.
but as it stands for the moment it is just a change of owner, potential landlord

I like it. My favourite place for coffee and meetings in town. Shame I can't spell it though...

I too use it as a regular meeting place. It helps that I get one free drink (coffee, Frappe, Milkshake, Smoothie, whatever) per month too.

Enjoying a drop of red.
but both are much better than Starbucks.

Some sort of garage, it has been discussed quite a bit on here in recent months.

Bit buildings sites ( which is now what it is) tend to be untidy, but at least it is going to be something by completion.

Most untidy building for me is the old job centre further up. Vandalised and graffiti on it that is beyond belief.

The entrance door was off its hinges a couple of weeks ago so some have gained entry to it and is an arson attack waiting to happen which will eat into local resources.

12 months ago when it was in reasonable condition I witnessed attempted vandalism.

Police didn't care. I raised the matter with millar sandy that the landlord may want to secure the site, I copied in the local councillor ( who did not respond).

Millar sandy did state they would look into it....nothing has been done and look at it now.

Local councils are quick to fine landlords and home owners who let properties become a mess.

What about inconsiderate business landlords.

Walked past today, and the entrance door has been kicked in, gap big enough for a child to pass through with a little force. Definitely only a matter of time before the whole building is set fire to, maybe that’s their plan so they can tear the place down, and sell a more attractive plot of land for development .

As it is, it’s a right mess, some how someone’s got up on the roof and graffitied the top of the building, wonderful attraction.

I think it's rather optimistic thinking anything will be done with the property, it's probably been bought by another firm with the view of renting it out to another business.

Just because it's sold doesn't mean they're going to invest in the property at all?!

I've purchased the freehold and will be building a hideous old trout farm + a dog walking gymnasium for young couples

Tried Coffee 1 yesterday afternoon. We were impressed, it's nice inside & plenty of room without looking like a warehouse. It was fairly busy & a bit of a queue but that's normal for these sort of places. We had a couple of paninis, a tea & an Americano. Paninis were nice (bigger than Costa & Nero), wife liked the loose leave tea but the Americans was a bit watery. I like my coffee strong, black & no sugar so swapped it for a filter & that was much better. I think it was a bit more expensive than our usual at Costa (maybe by a quid on the order) but was nicer & better sorroundings/atmosphere. It looks like it'll be our go to place in town for that type of place.
Just to add, our preference was Costa, followed closely by Nero (paninis & sandwiches etc aren't quite as good as Costa). We haven't been in Starbucks for ages, we've tried many different branches & havent "enjoyed" them much.
