Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

it's one massive echo chamber due to the plethora of hard surfaces
That seems to be very fashionable these days and, coupled with the ever increasing proportion of loudmouths about, it can make conversation almost impossible.

No 15 could be like a shipyard at times.

Now I like the decor of Coffee#1 however the service is truly shocking

Odd, we've experienced the opposite. Most of the staff already remember the Mrs' regular order (mine is too easy to give credit for, lol). Never had any issues with service, and the Mrs Frontal does go in pretty regular.

I'm happy for you, it shouldn't take 10 minutes from ordering to get 2 lattes (recent experiences)...

I have to agree with frontal, in there once day morning or lunch and have been for weeks, sometimes for food.

Plenty of people around. One of the girls can geet a chatty, but slow service is not something I can complain about.

Been in to coffee#1 a couple of times. Service was painfully slow so shan't bother again.

Caffe Nero or that well known chain Soup Kitchen for me.

Cafe Nero is my go-to meeting place, the fact that it stretches so far back is great as it’s often quieter at the back... plus I get one free hot or cold drink a month with them.

Well Slaters is local is we are talking pubs, but I guess that while they may do hot drinks I am certainly not meeting up with someone there at lunch time or to take out.

the soup kitchen, a place to meet up for a hearty lunch and catch up. Whilst I love the place speed is not something they are famed for, but that is part of its charm and one excepts that :)

May do?

So you haven't even been and won't be going

Slater's and the town's advantage I guess

I found coffee #1 OK but my wife said the service was shocking. That said I like Starbucks so will be using them from now on. Please do tell me about them being a global company that needs pay more tax.

Yes I am with you. I like Coffee #1 but the staff give off a sense of we really don't give a... the food I like and the drink when it eventually gets made!

Gareth will like the slow speed then as part of its charm.

I must admit if I'm going to sit down in a coffee shop for a meeting or even for a relaxing coffee speed of service doesn't matter to me but if I'm rushing for a train or a bus then I expect swift service and I would go to a faster takeaway establishment.
