Parkhouse apparently announced they got the keys to the old Lloyd's on the Hough yesterday.
I was.dreading what the siggnage would.be like to be honest the signage is not that bad and their is far worse in town
Better this building is used instead of being left to the elements or vandals, so beggars can't be chosers
If folk think they can bring something better to the towns empty premises, put your ideas and money out there and take a punt
Do you wake up grumpy?
No, he lets her sleep in of a morning.
Well they put up more signs than they were allowed and they're bigger than what was signed off on but other than that thumbs up!!!
Originally Registered JPGs were no doubt subject to legal interpretation.
Do I wake up grumpy, god no but many on here seemingly do, sodding bitch and moan about anything and everything. It is a sodding sign, who gives a shit.
Looks like a new milkshake place has signed up to Riverside, the only chain I can think of though is shakeaway ?
Just what the town needs.
First time I've been in town on a Wednesday in a while and noticed that most of the stalls in the outdoor market are now food based. Whose bloody stupid idea at the council was it to give food stall holders who have no investment in the town a golden opportunity to take away custom from rates and rent paying business owners with a significant investment in Stafford on the quietest day of the week?
It's Burger Priest isn't it? They've been advertising for staff recently & are opening at Riverway/side.
Revenge of the Oatcakes and Milkshakes
That'll keep you going...
Nah, that thing is something that one of those overpriced stalls sells. At the County Fair there’s a stall selling these for £6-7 for some milk, dollop of ice cream, spray cream, sauce and some foam bananas or something. Shakeaway doesn’t hide the fact that it’s just a blend of whatever you chuck in it with some milk (and ice cream?)
The food market is a bit of a joke to be honest. Most of it seems to be businesses that are basically designed around markets (ie ones that basically just hop between markets around the country and charge a fortune as if they’re at some event where there’s no other food available) rather than actual local stuff which are few and far between (albeit there are some)
Speaking of food related things , I noticed McGregor's now are open nights, Thursday , Friday and Saturday, probably targeting food to the people who go redrum , it's open 20:30-2:30 am.
The ex Maplin/furniture clearance unit on the Hough has been gutted, looks like it may be getting prepped for new occupiers...
In the same vicinity, what’s that new structure (with a pent roof) taking shape to the right of Argos. Is it part of the retail park or something for GE ?
It's going to be a Tile shop, 'Topps Tiles' if I remember correctly.
Starbucks franchise, a drive through.
