Stafford Traffic.

A red light becomes mandatory after three seconds in Stafford - we all know that, surely?
From experience, it's more a matter of volume than time.

Amber means at least two, possibly three, at a push four.

At least we all know where we stand, what?

My wife stopped at the top end of amber to come out of the new aldi. It was quite a joy to see the anger at this from the BMW driver behind us.

A cyclist, singular, i know of definitely actually stops at traffic lights.

I should know, i am him.

Good to know!

Do carists actually stop at traffic lights?
Most car drivers stop, but a lot don’t as you probably know. Jumping red lights is a big issue everywhere but in Stafford it does seem particularly bad.

I mentioned cyclists as I do see a lot going straight through traffic lights, onto the path and then working their way around and then carrying on riding. When I rode a pushbike, stopping at lights was a chance for a breather.

I can't be the only one that gets pissed off at the Falklands roundabout? I always travel home past the prison, get to the lights by Radio Rentals/Queensway. 9 times out of 10, there's a queue going towards Sainsburys. No-one takes any notice of the yellow box here. You can be waiting at these lights for 20 minutes for the queue to sod off. They just keep coming from Queensway, as if they have a divine right to carry on no matter what the lights are on.
Way back in 1900 and froz to death, I was told by my instructor, you don't enter any yellow box if you way forward isn't clear/.traffic moving.
Yet funnily enough, the yellow box by the pictures/Grapes' corner doesn't seem get blocked owt like the Radio Rentals one.

There seems to be a large number of motorist including HGV drivers ignoring the new lights at the junction of the new Red Hill business park.
'I mean, what an inconviniance putting lights on a duel carriageway - I've only just got up to speed, so sod this I'm not stopping' attitude.

Eccleshall Road currently backed up past Alliance Street, which turned out to be a handy cut-through in the end.

The whole of Queensway was nose-to-tail when I drove it about an hour ago. Looking on Google Maps, it doesn't appear any different now and the Eccleshall Road and Wolverhampton Road are both very busy and also the M6.

M6, 2 lanes blocked southbound between J13&12 due to accident (car & truck, according to Radio Stoke about an hour ago). Traffic backed up beyond J14. Town centre will be a nightmare again.

Drivers please avoid Baswich Lane in #Stafford we are currently responding with a HGV that is stuck
It never ceases to amaze me the knumber of a-hole lorry drivers who know best and thing they can navigate the bridges. It's bad enough in a van or in car pulling a car trailer!

The M6 bridge on the A51 is due to be closed for three days in January.

I'm not sure now what the sign said, but I think it was the 12th and the 15&16th.
