Did you pass up to the north? Did it ease after the crossing? There can also be considerable bus-stop issues there, between the roundabout and the old railway bridge, also causing further back-up onto the roundabout. I'm not sure that it would be legal, even if it was possible, to overtake a stationary bus there, in either direction, whilst the pennies were being counted out, due to the zig-zag markings from the crossing - in fact, I wonder if the bus-stops, or at least the northbound stop in particular, are even legal?

I tend to avoid the so-called busy times, because it's just not worth the effort any more. My current, on-going correspondence with our paid professionals does not give me any hope for improvement - ever.

Bridgeford three-way lights were gone this afternoon, but they'd left a sign in the road that you need to be aware of..

Three-way lights were in operation at Common Road / St Albans Road today - Verulam Road was clear.

Car parks are traffic right?

The Hough’s carpark is getting worse and worse. There’s so many holes in it now. Perhaps the new 4x4 dealer is a good idea, the car park is basically an ad for buying one.

At what point can you start invoicing the land owner for ruining your car’s paintwork due to all the stones that get thrown up?

At a guess I'd say after they stop telling you that you park on their property at your own risk. :xd:

It's tradition. They'll fill it in again once it's big enough to swallow an artic, like they did last time. It gives the temp lights a nice outing.

Perhaps they are planning to fix it at the same time as the upgrade to the Westway/Newport Road traffic lights, planned for 19-28 Feb, since that's where they've put the icon on the roadworks webpage at https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/tr...ks/schemeinfo/stafford/boroughofstafford.aspx
- controlled by temporary traffic lights at each end of Newport Road perhaps?

As well as being monumentally inept, those that run Highways obviously skipped school the afternoon that Geography was on.

Either that or they just shut their eyes, stick a pin in and hope for the worst.

Had a letter this morning.
Major Gas pipe upgrade to the Doxey Road starting Monday 26-02-18. Estimated to take 8 weeks. Diversions will be in place.
Apparently it's part of a £65 million investment in the West Midlands gas network.
Don't you just know they'll be drilling outside our house first thing?
