I think Beaconside is closed (except for Ford escorts) around Parkside from Sat to Tues but I'll check the sign next time I drive past.
Here are the planned Beaconside roadworks dates.

(lane) motorway.
Just checked - it's around eight or nine feet long now.Its getting ridiculous now aint it! They dont seem to be doing anything about it either. Theres a big one although not too deep at the lights at the town end of the wolverhampton road thats steadily been getting worse for months now. Its got to be about 3 foot long by 2 foot wide. Not exactly hard to miss.
Yeah... right... showoff...it's around eight or nine feet long now.
"Duct installation works".What was the work that required the Beaconside road to be shut for 4 days? The road looks exactly the same and the earthworks look to be well clear of any possible traffic movements.
Makes me wonder whether they didn't complete the works and will need further closures soon.
"Duct installation works".
BECAUSE-THEY-SAY-SO.Can't see any duct work anywhere near the road so still don't really understand why the road had to be closed for so long.

This afternoon driving on North Walls requiring to travel in the A34 South direction, the queue for the A 518 completely blocked any access the roundabout.
I emerged on a green light requiring to get into the lane for Asda (A34 South) which was clear. No one left a gap and I was tooted vigorously when pushing through!! The "Lady" even tried to close the gap further! A deft finger and an expletive ensued!

There's a new stretch of tarmac across the road about 2feet wide with manhole either side on the verge close to the roundabout Why it took 4 days is beyond me.Can't see any duct work anywhere near the road so still don't really understand why the road had to be closed for so long.
