Boris IS doing what he doe's best. Avoids making tough decisions until the options are reduced and hence the decision is made for him
Oh, come on, let's be fair to Johnson.

And let's get back to traffic.

He's spending a lot of his time organising the draining of Lake Sandon for Mogg's niece.

This government ARE NOT doing their best. If they were, there wouldn't be over 100,000 dead from Covid-19 and £billions wouldn't have been spaffed into the coffers of their best buddies at the same time.

I completely concur. Had you down as a Conservative voter so surprised you think that tbh :/

....... and he got a second rate degree in the classics. About as useful as an over inflated space bopper in a high intensity minefield.

Oh, come on...

i know for a fact that, when Johnson was at Eton and all the other boys were at Fives, he was at Sixes and Sevens.
School reports complained about his idleness, complacency and lateness.
His term as President of the Oxford Union was not particularly distinguished or memorable and questions were raised regarding his competence and seriousness.

I believe the Doxey diversion has come in , this morning. WEDNESDAY 3rd at 9.30AM.

So to get to Doxey, now - Newport Road, Kingway, Martin Drive, Unicorn Way.
Or from the other side it'll be a combination of lanes!

I hope you can sleep. When I was about 17 they shut the Wolverhampton Road all summer for supply/drainage/sewerage (I can't remember which) works. I remember it being really quiet at night, and having spent all my life with the hum of the traffic it took a while to get used to.

Ooo does that mean they've shut the silly tiny entrance to the car parks now?
Our removed that fecking 28 way traffic light system?
Nope. Still there. There's signs up saying the road is closed from the railway bridge, and yet still folk are driving up there and having turn round. I saw 1 woman (looked like a much younger Tina Turner!) She was in a grey BMW Mini (not a proper Mini), she went up the road at least 3 times. The diversion signs are there, If you look for them.
I said at work other day, the cleverest of people can't do the simpliest of things. Well bugger me, I have got to be the thickest person in the world,!!! Cos I read signs and follow them! x

This may have already been asked, but as there is the road closure going down the side of Primark, is there a way to drive to Eastgate Street at the moment? TIA.

ST16 Represent.
Note as of 8.24 a bin lorry has broken down in Victoria Terrace and is blocking the street, if you use it as a cut through.

I noticed diversion signs when I went past on Saturday, and Roadworks.org suggests you can go up Bridge Street...

You can get to Eastgate Street from Queensway Island. Follow the diversion signs. You enter using the emergency access road (not shown on the map below) driving the wrong way into it.

You then drive the wrong way up Eastgate Street until you reach the Police Station and then you end up driving the right way even though you haven't changed direction! :lorks:
