Stafford's new B&M store.

I feel we need a new thread for B&M now it is actually open as the messages about it are in the old Morrisons thread.
I've just visited and I absolutely love it - main reason being I brought a bottle of wine and they asked if I'm under 25 haha
Seriously, it's a fab addition to the town centre - cue the moaners saying it's not in the town centre, it's too far out, it's too long a walk to M&S, you only get two hours free parking..... yeah, yeah, yeah, whatevs as the teenagers say.
For someone who can't drive and lives that end of town it's brilliant for me. B&M is great for branded products at a reduced price and they also have a good range of food far cheaper than the supermarkets, which being jobless is important to me. I've also discovered a really pretty walk to get there through St. George's Parkway - more on separate thread about that!
OK, whingers over to you :)

Iv yet to visit yet , how big is it ? I'm not a fan on the bm on the queens retail park( too small) I usually venture to the big one in brownhills

I've added it to my route. I called in this morning to check the price on a particular DIY item, but it wasn't as cheap as Wilko's so I'll be going there (as soon as they get the item in - no hurry).

From what I remember it's similar in size to their site in Cannock..... Rather large

I went weekend before last. It's massive - almost too big? (oo-er)

One thing I did notice on the hot weekend it was - the lack of aircon in there. Not great when selling foodstuff.

Speaking as one who is always cold, I didn't notice the heat and they had great big fans in the ceiling.

We went to go today and all the power had gone so the store was closed. They had staff outside letting you know what was going on.

Nipped in again today and it was really hot in there. The staff were a bit smelly stacking shelves but completely not their fault as it was so hot I can imagin being there a few hours anybody would smell. :urgh:

I did notice (somewhat geekily) the ventilation ducting in the ceiling disappears into the newly built partitioning wall - so all 3 units look like they are sharing the originally installed system.

Hope there's no disagreement between tennants about what to set the thermostat at like at our house!
