Could've been a coachload of vertically challenged CAMRA members below window sill height.

Just been in, they have now installed a Juke box. The permanent beers include Gray's Bitter and Carling Export and there will be regularly changing guest beers too.

Popped in last night and sank a few pints of 'Dark side of the Moose', very nice. Plans for 8 real ales and bar refurb.Hope it all works out for them.

Drove up the Wolverhampton Road for a change tonight and whilst stuck in traffic spotted the Star & Garter.

What's it like in there? It's one of the few pubs in Stafford that I have never ever been in.

Saw a sign just inside the door advertising karaoke and quite a few people were hanging around inside the doorway around 5.30pm-ish.

Might give it a try one of these weekends .

Raffish is how one could describe it

Serendipity is a word that I like anall

A bit shabby but a nice drop of beer

I know I prefer crisp ales to funky furniture

It still has the Kingdom Finance Font on the signage

Better service here than the Telegraph

8.5 out of 10
