Is there anywhere in Stafford that hires those steaming appliances that get the creases out of curtains as they are hanging up?

Homebase hire out rug doctors, there about £20 for 24 hours, they are suitable for carpets and fabrics, it would clean them and take the creases out.

Thanks for that, they don't need cleaning, they are new ones that have just been hung. They are full of packaging creases and because of the large size I was hoping to find something that would get the creases out whilst hung up and not have to take them down to iron.

Thank you but I don't think that would be suitable. I have seen them loads of times on the tele but just don't seem to be able to track one down.

Don't the creases drop out anyway in due course? I think one of the proper steam irons might help and if you dont have one I'm sure someone you know will have.

When I worked at Newco "soft furnishing, curtains and upholstery" in 1960 we used the steam from a ordinary
kettle to drop the creases out in the work shop and put tissue paper in them when transporting them to the customer.
It worked marvelously on velvet curtains.

I didn't think it would be this hard to find one. I have pressed out the smaller pair with an ordinary steam iron with no trouble at all. but this pair is a 90' drop and 4ft width in each which is a lot of material. I just thought one of those steamers would make life easier - they aren't even mine, I'm doing it as a favour!!! Thanks for all your suggestions.

Thank you all for your help. As a result of my pleas a very nice lady has offered to lend me hers. How kind is that of a complete stranger.
