There was one of these in the Hospice warehouse by the Tip today - somebody placed a box in front of it so it looked like it said "knob exerciser".

As we bought Boy a set of step ladders at the weekend I was able to use this one 'in the field' as it were.

(Take parents out of the picture and it'll work fine. I worked in schools for 12 years.) :urgh:

Agreed but replace parents with manners, discipline and respect and it works even better.

Gramaisc, perhaps I'm stating the obvious but, I assume you've highlighted this poster because the graphic designer thought it would illustrate all three elements rotating in harmony, whereas in fact it would be completely locked up - defeating the point he was trying to make (?). Of course any two gears would work with any 3rd gear removed.

    Indeed - hence @BobClay's response.

I would wonder how many people this proposal passed by before it was printed and distributed without any of them realising that the whole thing would be locked up?

You'd be surprised how many people think Duct tape and WD40 will cure all things. (Marine engineers would say 'A cement box or a f****** big hammer' instead.)

Come to think of it a marine engineers answer to the problem might have worked if the hammer was big enough.:teef:

The correct legal term is "blatant abandonmentness" - as heard here at 1:18.
