On the subject of Super Radio Stafford (I haven't listened to it, but I don't tend to listen to radio with music) Can admin please make the Super Radio Stafford banner the same size as the other ones in the useful links box - I'm sure it won't damage it too much and it's driving me mental.

I just ask people to provide a button and work with what I'm given, I'm afraid! I always specify 100 pixels wide if ever anyone asks, but perhaps Super Radio Stafford didn't have the necessary software/resources to accurately match this.

I'll see what I can do when I've got a few spare moments. Unless anyone else wants to design them a better one, of course!

I like it that they now show the title and artist of the current track - but is it just me that has some of the info missing behind the main text?

No it's not just you, it seems that images have been slapped straight over the top of writing. Looks a wee bit clumsy in places - but hey I suppose they're trying their best.

Who cares what the site looks like? I get it to play and then minimise the window anyway!

I thought I'd let the dust settle a bit before returning to this thread, looks like everyone else did too! I've been listening on an off for a while now and have noticed the breakfast guy has disappeared most of the time the output seems to be continuous music. Anyone know what's going on there?

Just seen this on twitter:

"RadioStafford: Super Radio has ceased operations, the station is now off air. This is what happens when you cant remember what bullshit you have told to who"

Very strange

Such a shame. :(

We as a Forum have been asking for this for over 4 years (click for details), and we tried our very best to help and promote it in any and every way we could. Unfortunately, from the PMs I exchanged with Super-radio-stafford (which was managed by multiple users, which I allowed given their "community" status) it seems there was a lot of in-house friction, and I guess that got too much for the rest to bear.

Here's to hoping that another one will come along soon and do the town proud! If so, once again we will help promote and do everything we can for them, for free, exactly as we did for Super Radio Stafford and exactly as we have for all local enterprises. :)

Does anybody know any more about the circumstances surrounding this?

I ask partly because i stumbled upon this

Controversy surrounds the mysterious circumstances in which one of Signal's longest serving DJs was relieved of his duties with the County's premier radio station.
on account, of all things, of similarly misspelling Stewart Lee's name.

Thanks for this Andreas....

You are quite right with your observations. The Windmill Chip Shop was voted Staffords' Best chippy in 2003 by listeners to my Breakfast Show on Signal One back then. I have since been in several times and asked for the banner to be removed. The problem is the chip shop has changed owners 3 times since then and the new owners are unwilling to remove it despite letters from Signal and myself. I am not happy that it is still there!
Chris' Fish Bar was voted Staffords best chippy by Newsletters readers in 2004 and were also previous winners on the breakfast show in 2001 and 2002. Hope this helps explain the confusion, I appreciate your comments and also paying close attention to our adverts on Super Radio Stafford. I feel another visit to the Windmill chip shop is needed ASAP (and not to buy any chips). Thanks for this....
Yesterday tea time I used the Windmill Chip Shop for the first time since about 2003 and was well pleased with my kebab.
