I wonder whether it will make life poorer for the richer?

    Probably not.

It’s that time of year again when we keep the booze companies in business. (It’s always that time of year in our house if I’m honest)

I noticed today that Tesco have their 25% off 6 or more bottles but I wondered if anyone has the heads up about whether Sainsbury’s will be having their equivalent offer any time soon...... can you hear me @littleme

I’d prefer to get it from Sainsbury’s if I can.

It's not long finished at Sainsbury's @Carole - but there seems to be an offer on every other week at the moment. I will let you know if I hear of another one coming up.

In the meantime, I believe spirits of all sorts are on offer at £15.00 per bottle at the moment (possibly in-store only).

I appreciate that this bit of the thread is ancient history now, but I feel the need to point out that these are actually different Mrs Roosevelts. The first one is Sara Ann, FDR's mother & the second one is Eleanor, his wife.

And the Simon & Garfunkel song "Here's to you Mrs Robinson" was originally "Here's to you Mrs Roosevelt", about Eleanor, until the film producers persuaded them to change it for the film.

I'm sure there is another clip of Eleanor R launching a flyingboat where the bottle doesn't break and she ends up hammering the plane with the bottle.

I've never understood the point of wine miniatures. Wrong, plain wrong.
