Tesco have recently increased the price of some items to make a 'deal' look much better, their price match guarantee means this can really work in your favour as it works on deals too.

See the thread below for details, but if you buy a large pizza express pizza and a pack of 2 gu deserts you get it for £5. The pizzas are £6 but £3 elsewhere, the gu puds are £3 but £2 elsewhere. Buy the deal for a fiver, make up your basket with enough items for 10 unique barcodes and you get £4 off making the deal £1. I just got 4 deals, plus some cider and other essentials, and paid just over £11.

Got 2 pizzas, 2 deserts and 6 packs of 10p sweets and paid £3.50 instead of £18.60.
