Many of us have been interacting with you in a sensible fashion, so it's a shame you've decided to go. Did you want a response to your pie chart post?

Interesting article on the effects of TOFU farming and the huge effects it has on deforestation

    https://munchies.vice.com/en_us/article/bmp4av/meat-may-be-murder-but-tofu-is-too

So meat, in some peoples eyes may be murder....but eating tofu or other plant based alternatives are potentially destroying the planet by heavy deforestation and the accelerated extinction of species found in these forrests........and apperently at a far more aggressive rate than animal husbandry.

For the record, this is not intended to provoke an argument, just an interesting observation....this means you @1JKz :P

I'll field this one with an info graphic

So ..... even with the deforestation angle .... best way to reduce it?
Cut back on the use of livestock, by far the largest consumer of soy worldwide (a fact overlooked in articles such as the one mentioned).

I'll grant you those numbers are for american producers, but they are the largest producers of Soybeans (even according to the article linked).

I have heard very good things from people who attended last years - we sat it out ourselves as some of the guest speakers were a bit 'dubious'. Not looked at this years selection closely

I'm intrigued by the name of this topic.
What do you use vegan thread for? Is it strong enough to sew leather?

I've been experimenting with vegan baking!

Thursday is cake day at work so a few weeks ago I made vegan ginger bread men (went down a treat!)

And yesterday I did the ol brownie box and coke trick - it was interesting....

All I did was add 300ml of lemonade!

They were VERY fudgy - by the end of the day they had welded themselves to the tuppaware but they tasted really good!

Not exactly clean eating but a great fun example of delicious vegan baking!

Ps Thanks to @Gramaisc for showing me how to bombard you all with pictures!

I know of people who have been and apparently it's superb. It even does vegan black pudding on the breakfast...
