Very strange place

It's like a village pub in 1992 - good real ales, food, good service, pleasant surroundings, friendly barmaids ( I know you cant call them that really)

Crazy

Lunctime pint of real ale plus a cheese 'n' onion toasty with salad - four quid

I've finally figured you out, you're a time traveller aren’t you, that’s why you disappear for ages and then come back with these ridiculous comments on pubs.
I shall investigate the clifford arms!

We go here in the summer.....they are dog friendly which is a rarity these days.

We walk along the canal and then pop in for a glass of wine.

Have not eaten here though, maybe we should try the Sunday lunch.

The Clifford certainly is a nice pub. A great selection of Real Ales, nice open fire and friendly staff.

It was even nicer before it was knocked through into one room some years ago. The place had a proper bar (the side where the fire is, at least they kept that) and a nice lounge. Why did so many pubs get spoiled like this?

Still, The Clifford is still well worth a visit.

A sympathic knocking through

I used to get those in prison

They had period doors there too - but minus the brass fittings

I ate there about five years ago and it was quite acceptable.

I don't notice when places are 'dated' - I only notice when they aren't..
