The help

Has anyone seen "the help"?
I think it was on national cinema release today.
I am reading the book at the moment and loving it.
I don't mind seeing a film after I have read the book if it sounds good but find if it's rubbish it spoils the enjoyment I got from the read, so want to hear others' reports first.

I've been really looking forward to seeing this. The trailer that was on alongside the Jane Eyre film looked great, although a film is hardly ever as good as the pictures you create in your head when you read a book. Look at One Day - who knew Emma was American?

I will often read a book after watching a decent film, but you lose the chance to create the picture of characters in your head.
Often I will avoid the film if I have really enjoyed the book as it can spoil the experience I find, but the trailer did look good - just need to get a move-on and finish the book now!
