Furniture removed from The Living Room, Stafford - which was hoped to re-open soon

Comments (1)
MYSTERY surrounding a Stafford bar has taken another turn this afternoon – as furniture is removed from the building.

The Living Room, located by the crown court, shut its doors at midnight on Saturday, just over a week after opening on April 28.

It is understood White Sands Restaurant Group, which runs the bar, was hoping to re-open tonight at 9pm.

However, furniture was being removed from the building into two white vans this afternoon.

The Newsletter has contacted director Lloyd Waldron, but has been unable to reach him.

He said earlier this week that he was hoping to have the bar open again next Friday, under new management. He said the closure had been due to an investigation into the theft of stock.

Just been told by someone who was in on Saturday that there was very little stock anyway, all the shelves used to advertise were bare. Fair few people hanging around outside, not wanting to stereotype but suspect bar staff.

I found a rather blurry photo ( mouth hidden ) of this alleged con man a few weeks back but can't seem to find it now

Question One : How happy will the landlord be to get this place back, after it has stood empty for so many years?

Question Two : Has the landlord received a bill from the estate agents circa £6000 for finding him such a brilliant tenant?

Question Three : Is the building doomed as a bar, and would it be better as flats / offices / charity shop?

Everything is readied for residential

I'm wondering now if that photo that's on LinkedIn is really him.

If you google "images" Lloyd Waldron, or Lloyd Waldron White Sands group, it is only that picture that comes up.

Which is odd really.

Has anyone who was involved in The Living Room actually met him?

A few posts under my belt
I'm a sign company in stafford and spoke to Lloyd several times about signage for the exterior,
I must admit he sounded desperate for the signs and not very sure on what he wanted.

I priced myself out of the job, glad I did as I'm sure I wouldn't have been paid, feel sorry for who did them in the end.

Was there approx 6pm this evening. All quiet.... but lights on and a few windows wide open. And a random security guy lingering around outside. Either he was a bouncer and thought it was weirdly quiet for the night.... or he was protecting the premises in general.

I noticed a closed Facebook group for members of staff, hopefully they'll get what they are owed but I doubt it.

EDIT: Which you may have heard of before...
