"Possibly the final" Open Mic Night tonight.

I had a couple of pints of the rather nice Kirin Ichiban or 一番搾り

...mostly due to the current warmth and having just received my fourth Mutant Monster CD.

Was there Friday night too, propping up the bar on the other side whilst winding up Jon again.

Sad to see Oli & Vicki go, but was great to give them a send off on Sunday evening too.

Wish them all the very best for the future where ever they end up :)

Wonder who the new gaffer will be and what they will bring to the Vaults.....

hmmmmm, I'm reserving judgement on this...but at least they're keeping the same meat supplier and kitchen staff.

I wonder if their "famous Man n Cheese and special burger sauce" is bought in and from a can.....? though looking through their facebook - "American street food"?

JD Burgers at the Market Vaults......? still not feeling it at the moment....though the review on there already is interesting too.


My main fear is that the vaults will loose it roots of being a diverse live music venue that Oli worked hard to build such a good reputation for, and it will slip into hip-hop, R&B generic pop tastic crap. Just like every other pub in Stafford.

I guess time will tell?

For the record, there is absolutely nothing about the kitchen staff in this new venture that has anything to do with the old management. The two part time staff have both left, and I have supposeted the head chef to Cornwall with myself.

Apart from Big Jon continuing long term on the bar, as Josh is leaving for uni soon, this is an entirely unconnected regime.

Menu wise, this new management seems to enjoy surfing large waves...
