I felt the same with the Chilli too.....needs more of the chilli and cheese and less of the salsa. other than that, very tastey.

Tbh, I think it was in particular bad spirit for the old owners to kick off, they moved on to other things, so shouldn't get involved imo .

I really didn’t kick off. I protected our reputation and brand. I simply made a statement to clarify the change of operator. I wish the new guy the best of luck. It’s a hard game, everyone needs it.

I dunno, I saw the sign saying the burgers were back but they aren't. It's not the same food, the menu has many similarities but even the most familiar looking items are very different. Saying they are back implies the same items are available again, which isn't true.

Say your local Indian is famous for its chicken tikka. The chef leaves, someone new comes in and cooks differently, is the famous chicken tikka back?

Yes, protecting your brand?? by throwing the new guy under a bus. Very strange.

& how are you 'protecting your brand' if you're 'out of the burger business' ?

It may come down to whether you think a 'burger' is the entire assembly including the horizontally sliced bun arrangement, plus the salad and diary layer options, or merely the minced 'patty' that forms the central, meat-based layer of the assembly.

Enjoy the new burgers guys. As the Rwandan proverb offers - ‘The truth passes through the fire but shall not burn.’

Thanks for all the unequivocal support in good times and bad over the last 5 years Stafford...

looks like the loaded fries / nachos could be the only vegan "friendly" items on the menu?

Are you in the stafford vegans group on Facebook? They’ve replied to a poster there about vegan options

I'd put this in that vegan thread but here you go, just gotta speak to the team and hey presto!

Looks like they're responding to market change.

Well, I had a new Same Old tonight, essentially a new Old Norm. - much the same thing. The fries were too salty, but they always were.

The Tannoy music was, as ever, too loud. but was also the sort of dire stuff that you hear coming from a blacked out Vauxhall Corsa that has pulled up next you at some traffic lights in Willenhall - truly tragic stuff.

Eventually, however, the Open Mic night transformed into a supreme example of Stafford's true potential - top stuff,

popped in on wednesday night, had the old norm....sorry, same old same old.....not too bad.

Music policy was some class motown, though slightly on the loud side, but great stuff.
