I originally read that as 63!!Planning application in to demolish and build 6 3 storey houses, unsure if its flats or houses. As I live by I was notified by post. Little information on the planning website.

Which even by modern standards would have been on the small side in the space available.
Building an open sewer would probably be the favoured option of the former pub regulars, to give the place continuity.
Good point does look like 63, will edit it.
We went in through the 'back', into that strange 'lounge' area affair that was incomprehensibly absolutely rammed - so much so that there was no place for us to sit.

I have drunk in there also on a pub crawl around the Marston Road area. There were quite a few pubs back then which were nicely arranged in a sort of triangle for such. Peel Terrace, down the Marston Road, back up to the Hop Pole. If you tried hard you could do in 10 million brain cells on that run.
