Enjoying a drop of red.
We we went here for the current Mrs p's Xmas do earlier in the week.

Firstly the place now looks really nice. The tattiness that existed before is but a distant memory.

The food was excellent. We were a medium sized group and not one of us had any complaints about the presentation or taste of the food. Top marks.

Everything was served in timely fashion by some truly delightful staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and, unlike some places, there was never any feeling of being rushed or moved on at a pace we weren't happy with.

I'm a serial Lewis Group abuser at all it's locations but I have to say that, although the staff are great at the D&D, The Swan and The Bear, I found them to be on an even higher level here.

Top marks to all and thanks for a great night.

We will be back...

Had a brilliant meal at the Red Lion on New Year's Eve, thanks to all the staff @ChrisLewis

However the door from the kitchen to the restaurant might need looking at, a hollow thump echoed around the building every time it closed - at least given that the restaurant is reputed to have once been the village mortuary I sincerely hope that it was the door causing the noise! :mystery:

Thank you for your kind words, glad you approve of the new look Red Lion, we certainly believe it now fully lives up to its status as an "Asset of Community Value" and is now back at the heart of lots of things going on in Bradley and the surrounding community.

Also, just to say, and seems as i eat out quite often and this being important to me, your vegetarian option(s) are very good, though small; a nice selection!

The larger chain places can be a tad shocking when they offer their so called vegetarain option, usually fish or a sprout pastabake, perhaps that's why i don't tend to go to those guys.

Although it would be nice if you could have the vegetarian haggis without the ****** neeps.
