With more pints?
It's all coming back to me now........
Going for the first time, since reincarnation, this Friday.
What'll be on, what's hot and what's not?
Looking preferably for a 'session' ale.
Edit. I wouldn't classify Blue Chimay as a 'session' ale, by the way, at least not a session of any coherence. Them crazy monks - vow of silence my arse, rendered speechless more like.
Steerage is my personal fave, light and not too strong.
Sounds just the job, ta.
Oh and just £2.20 a pint too.
Only sampled the Captain Smith, Steerage, Iceberg, White Star, Anchor, (Titanic) and Big Lamp's Big Lamp Premium so far..........
Iceburg makes you idiotic
Well, 7 pints of it does
But I did have a head start..
Oh and a rather pleasant bottle of shiraz,.. well it was sunday lunchtime......
Yes your Persian Poetry meal - avec burger and ketchup
I've also lunched on the chip butty, loads of chips thick sliced bread and butter, it takes 2pints of big lamp to finish it......
I can vouch for that, a friend had a 72 pinter of Iceberg at his recent barbeque, I think there were about 5 or 6 of us valiantly attempting to kill it.
Early doors last night, fish and chips for us bbq chicken for the young un, enjoyed tiger, anchor and captain smith, bottle of white, couldna fault it.....
And delicious to boot.
Didn't stay for long but man the Sun was p-p-p-packed. It reminded me of what pubs used to be like.
i've heard a couple of glowing reports of the fish 'n' chips.. would you agree?
Defo'.....if she says the batter is good then it's probably is something special.......
Popped in last night, White Star was excellent. Went to the Red Lion in Bradley - closed until 10th September.
We walked past The Sun today and the people sitting by the window had enormous plates of lovely looking fish & chips .
We meant to call in there later last week on our return from holiday, but ended up staying in Torquay all week.
Will have to be a Saturday night now so that hubby can recover from sampling all the different ales without work the next day.
I had the summerhill stout on saturday night, very very tasty.......
Had a working lunch there on monday, very quiet and maybe it's a lull before christmas.....
