Going for the first time, since reincarnation, this Friday.

What'll be on, what's hot and what's not?

Looking preferably for a 'session' ale.

Edit. I wouldn't classify Blue Chimay as a 'session' ale, by the way, at least not a session of any coherence. Them crazy monks - vow of silence my arse, rendered speechless more like.

Iceburg makes you idiotic

Well, 7 pints of it does

But I did have a head start..
I can vouch for that, a friend had a 72 pinter of Iceberg at his recent barbeque, I think there were about 5 or 6 of us valiantly attempting to kill it.

Steerage is my personal fave, light and not too strong.
And delicious to boot.

Didn't stay for long but man the Sun was p-p-p-packed. It reminded me of what pubs used to be like.

Popped in last night, White Star was excellent. Went to the Red Lion in Bradley - closed until 10th September.

We walked past The Sun today and the people sitting by the window had enormous plates of lovely looking fish & chips .

We meant to call in there later last week on our return from holiday, but ended up staying in Torquay all week.

Will have to be a Saturday night now so that hubby can recover from sampling all the different ales without work the next day.
