I ventured out to The George Hotel former home of the Slaters brewery and found that they had dropped all their beer prices too

2 squid a pint and beautiful it was too

I noticed that Top Totty was down to £2.20 just before Christmas, down again eh?
Local rumour has it that the Totty was named for Ged's daughter.

The why not has improved greatly since the refit in '08 as pub grub goes i've no complaints.....

I go in quite a bit for food with my parents, can't fault it at all. Bottle of red for a fiver too, which is great if I go on my bike!

ah ok, for some reason I was trying to picture that pub tht might be a curry place in Hanford/Trentham, was very confused!

But yes went there for a light lunch with a friend few weeks ago, and wasn't too bad...

Quite right, for a cheap & cheerful lunch they're hard to beat. In there last year and wanted a light snack as we were eating out in the evening. Two 6oz cheese burgers & chips was. if I remember right, about £7.00 and it was a decent burger too.
